  • Light Brown Sugar, 3 Tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced (2 cloves)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 3 Tablespoons

How Do You Make Bourbon Chicken?

Combine the cubed chicken breasts, water, and soy sauce in a small bowl. Combine all Ingredients and put aside. Continue with the Bourbon sauce.

Mix in the corn starch after the chicken has marinated for 10-15 minutes. The Blackstone is ready for the chicken.

In a mixing bowl, add the water, Black pepper, ground, bourbon, rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, light brown sugar and extra virgin olive oil. Mix together well and the bourbon sauce is ready to go.

Combine the chicken and the sautéed garlic onions after the poultry has reached the minimum internal temperature.

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken, water & soy sauce in a bowl and mix together. Set aside.
  2. In another mixing bowl, combine all the Ingredients for Bourbon Sauce and set aside.
  3. Add the corn starch and mix it in after the chicken has marinated and absorbed most of the water and soy sauce.
  4. Get the Blackstone Griddle going.
  5. Pour in a generous quantity of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Place the chicken on one side of the griddle and the chopped onion on the other (flipping both fairly consistantly).
  6. Once the onions have softened, stir in the minced garlic.
  7. Turn down the heat for the sautéed garlic onions if the chicken isn’t done yet.
  8. Combine the chicken with the sautéed garlic onions after the chicken has reached 165 degrees.
  9. Over the top, pour the bourbon sauce. Continuously stir until the sauce reaches the required consistency.
  10. Remove from the pan and serve over white rice.

Notes

If you want a bit more heat, sprinkle some crushed red pepper on top.
