Ingredients for Smoked Chicken Spaghetti Casserole

  • 8 oz. Spaghetti Noodles, uncooked
  • 4 chicken breasts each (Otto’s Chicken is recommended)
  • Cream of Celery Soup (in a can)
  • Cream of Chicken Soup (in a can)
  • Colby Jack Cheese, 8 oz (Cheddar will also work, 1 Bag)
  • Mayonnaise, 1 cup
  • 1 1/2 Cups – Broth de Poulet de Poulet de Poulet de Poulet de Poulet de Pou

Cook at 350 degrees for this smoked chicken spaghetti dish. The plate setter / conv”egg”tor must be inserted with the legs pointing upward for this indirect cook. Cooking time ranges from an hour to an hour and a half.

Begin by breaking the spaghetti noodles into 2′′ pieces and evenly distributing them in a 9 x 17 “ish” pan.

Over the noodles, pour the Chicken Broth. While the chicken combination is being prepared, set aside and soak the noodles.

Place the 4 chicken breasts in a mixing basin and cut them into cubes.

Toss the cubed chicken breasts with the mayonnaise.

Mix all of the Ingredients together gently.

Scoop the chicken mixture over the soaking noodles in the chicken broth.

Combine the noodle and chicken mixture in a small mixing bowl and distribute evenly in the chicken pan.

The temperature on the Big Green Egg should be approximately 350 degrees.

Place the Chicken Spaghetti Casserole on top of the BGE after it has reached about 350 degrees and seal the lid. Check the interior temperature of the chicken after approximately an hour of smoking.

Allow it to continue if they aren’t probing at 165-170. The cooking time ranges between 60 and 90 minutes. Pull it out after the internal temperature has been reached and enjoy!

Instructions

  1. Break the noodles into 2 “ish” inches in a 9×11″ pan, forming an equal layer in the pan.
  2. While the chicken combination is being prepared, add the chicken broth and leave it aside to soak.
  3. In a mixing bowl bowl combine the chicken (raw or cooked), cream of celery soup, cream of chicken soup, Colby Jack cheese & mayonnaise. Mix together.
  4. Combine the chicken, noodles, and chicken broth in a mixing bowl. Lightly combine the ingredients.
  5. Place on indirect heat in the Big Green Egg with the BGE set to 350 degrees.
  6. Allow 1 to 1.5 hours for the smoked chicken spaghetti casserole to simmer, until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 to 170 degrees (if using raw chicken). Pull and have fun!

Notes

If you have extra time, smoking the chicken beforehand and then cooking this dish will add a bit more smoky flavor to the casserole. Either way, it’s fantastic! Enjoy.
