Every now and then my wife and I get in the mood for some good Asian food, in which this Beef & Broccoli stir fry on the Blackstone Griddle doesn’t disappoint. From the corn starch thickening up the sauce, to the soy sauce & spices, this Beef & Broccoli recipe will surely not disappoint!

Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry Ingredients

Marinade for beef

  • Cornstarch, 2 teaspoons
  • 3 tbsp. – water
  • 1 pound of flank steak (other steaks can suffice)

Beef & Broccoli Sauce

  • Cornstarch, 1 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Light Brown Sugar, 3 Tablespoons
  • Ginger, 2 teaspoons
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

Remaining Beef & Broccoli Ingredients

  • Broccoli Florets, 4 cups (more or less depending on your preferred ratios)
  • 1 cup sliced yellow onion (Optional)
  • White rice, cooked is ideal.

How to Make Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry on the Blackstone

Begin by slicing the beef into 1 inch thick slices. Combine the cornstarch and water in a zip lock bag or a dish. Combine them thoroughly.

Combine the meat and mix well. Place the meat in the refrigerator.

Combine the Soy Sauce, Light Brown Sugar, Minced Garlic, and Ginger in a mixing dish. Mix the sauce well.

Get the Blackstone Griddle going and warm it up. This dish is best cooked on a medium/high heat setting. Cook the steak on one side while the broccoli cooks on the other, being sure to use extra virgin olive oil. Combing the broccoli and meat together on the Blackstone after they’re both soft.

Slowly drizzle in the sauce while mixing everything together. This should just take a few seconds to avoid burning the sauce, but you want to leave it on long enough for the corn starch to thicken. Remove from the pan and serve on a bed of rice.

Instructions

  1. Slice the meat into 1″ slices. Combine the cornstarch and water in a zip-lock bag or a bowl. Combine thoroughly. Mix the meat into the sauce. Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  2. Combine the soy sauce, light brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger to make the sauce. Place aside.
  3. Preheat the Blackstone Griddle to a medium/high setting. On one side of the griddle, cook the broccoli while the raw meat cooks on the other. Combine the broccoli and the cooked beef after they are both soft. Remove from the heat and serve over cooked white rice.
